Our Caring ministry consists of a variety of programs including Stephen Ministry, Grief Share, providing meals, knitting prayer shawls, making birthday cards and more.
We all experience challenges in lifetimes when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty.
Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-on-one, Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Our Stephen Ministers offer a safe place for care receivers to be heard, accepted and experience the love of Jesus Christ.
Stephen Ministers are an extension of our pastoral care team. Typically, the Stephen Minister and the person receiving care speak for one hour each week. During COVID, this is typically done by phone. If you wish meet with a Stephen Minister, would like to know more about the program, or are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact Pastor Diana.
Grief Share is a nondenominational network of 15,000 churches worldwide equipped to offer help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. All are welcome, no matter how long it has been since your loss. Each session of the thirteen week program is self-contained, so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will be able to pick up any sessions you missed in our next thirteen-week cycle. To learn more about the Grief Share program, please visit their website at griefshare.org, or contact Pastor Diana.
