Diana Siegel – Associate Pastor
Pastor Diana Siegel grew up near Topeka. She is a graduate of Indiana University, Fort Wayne campus, and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, A United Methodist Seminary in Evanston, IL, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree. She also studied in a Doctor of Ministry program at Drew Theological Seminary in Madison, NJ. Ordained in The United Methodist Church, she has served churches in Topeka, Pierceton, Fort Wayne, Huntington, and Warsaw. Pastor Diana also serves in the volunteer chaplain program at Goshen Hospital. Her passion is in caring ministries and Biblical studies. She is excited to have the opportunity to help people connect to God and each other through Goshen First UMC and the Life Center.
Diana and her husband John married in 1990 and moved to Goshen in 2016. John is retired from the Indiana State Police and also served as an internal investigator for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Between them, they have three adult children who live in Middlebury, Millersburg, and Fort Wayne.
Bobbi Smith – Youth Pastor
Being actively involved as a leader within the youth ministry since August 2010, Bobbi has a strong passion for working with middle and high school students. She is happily married to her husband Matt who is her strong supporter and teammate in everything she does, especially within the youth ministry. Together, they have one son, whom they adopted from Ethiopia in 2018.With a strong desire to make an impact within this world and the community she serves, Bobbi has an enthusiasm not only for youth ministry, but also for music, missions, and travel. She desires to continue using all of these gifts to help further God’s kingdom and make a difference in the lives of today’s youth.
Sarah Ross – Director of Children’s Ministries – Life Center Campus
Hannah Hochstetler – Office Administrator
Hannah joined the staff in 2020 as Office Administrator. She graduated from Huntington University in 2014 with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Fine Art. Hannah has always had a passion for bringing art back into the church and has done freelance design for churches across the nation. She is excited to bring these skills to First UMC and the Life Center. Hannah lives in Goshen with her fluffy cat, Ellis, and enjoys playing tabletop games, being out in nature – specifically the mountains, and loves to travel!
Linda Ponce – Treasurer
Linda Ponce has been serving as Treasurer at FUMC for a number of years. She works here part-time along with her full-time job as Operations Officer at First State Bank in Middlebury.She graduated from National College of Education with a math/elementary education major. Working at the bank and being Treasurer at FUMC does not allow Linda much free time, but she does enjoy working in her yard. She is married to Armando Ponce and has two children: Meaghan, and son-in-law Andrew Byslma, and a son, Andrew.
Ben Whirledge – Volunteer Ministries Coordinator
Ben Whirledge is our clergy volunteer member of the staff, serving as Volunteer Ministries Coordinator. Ben is a graduate of Purdue University and Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology.He served as Associate Pastor here from 1983-88 and as Senior Pastor at Milford United Methodist Church from 1988-93. He and his wife, Marie, have been married for 30 years and have two sons: Brian, who is an elementary art teacher, and John, who is a worship pastor at Fountain City Wesleyan Church in Richmond, Indiana. Ben and Marie live on the family farm near Millersburg.
Garry Anglemyer – Maintenance Facilitator
Garry Anglemyer began working for FUMC in September 2010 as Maintenance Facilitator. He is married to Kathy, and they have three adult children.Their son, Barry, is married to Davina, and they have a daughter, Payton, and a son, Talon. Their son, Kelly, lives in Goshen with his wife, Val, and they have a son named Aspen. Their daughter, Bobbi, is married to Matt Smith and they live in Wakarusa.
Garry’s interests are motorcycles! He loves riding and racing motorcycles. His favorite hobby is enjoying his grandkids and granddogs!
Cammi Waggoner – Life Center Custodian
Cammi Waggoner has been serving as Custodian at FUMC since January 2018. She works here part-time along with her full-time job as a Case Manager for Elkhart County Community Corrections. She graduated from Ivy Tech College with an associate’s degree in Computer Management. She enjoys gardening in both flowers and vegetables, reading, rubber stamping and scrapbooking and has 3 dogs named Zeke, Zena and Lilly who enjoy daily walks and lots of attention.
